ABSTRACT
Primary cutaneous diffuse B-cell lymphoma leg type is a very uncommon form of primary cutaneous lymphoma, approximately between 2 and 4% of the total. It constitutes a clonal proliferation of malignant lymphocytes, belonging to extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It presents itself mainly in elderly patients, with a peak in the seventh decade of life, predominantly affecting women. Clinically, it often presents itself with nodules and/or erythematous tumors, or violaceous plaques, normally appearing on the lower third of one or both legs. When it is clinically suspected, a biopsy is the first step for diagnosis. The growth pattern (follicular or diffuse), the cellular morphology of the tumoral cells and the immunohistochemistry are key for an appropriate diagnosis of primary cutaneous B-cell lymphomas.
