ABSTRACT
In 1983, Trounson et al sumerged an oocyte directly on liquid nitrogen with acceptable rates of survival and fertilization, but low rates of cleavage. In 1984, Zeilmarker et al reported the first birth after transfering defrozen embryos. This paper reviews the general aspects of vitrification technique, as well as the results of the oocytes, cygotes and embryos vitrification.
