ABSTRACT
Different reports throughout the world and our own experience have demonstrated that the vitrification technology by the cryotop method as an alternative for the cryopreservation of human oocytes has been successful, in terms of survival, fertilization, embryo development, pregnancy, etc., using ISCI as the unique method for thawed oocyte insemination. This article reports the first results of a project designed to implement the conventional IVF in those patients whose sperm quality does not make necessary the application of the ICSI method for insemination and to try to reduce, as much as possible, the excessive use of intracytoplasmic microinjection in cycles where it is not necessary.
