Gingival papilla. Biological aspects in its preservation and size prediction in dental implant placements

ABSTRACT

The complete preservation of the interdental papilla is one of the gingival anatomical elements that distinguishes between an implant accomplished aesthetically, from that which purely comply with tooth replacement. Supported in various anatomical, histological and functional elements, appropriate decisions pre and post operative can achieve these objectives that impact on the appearance and as well as the well-being of the patients. Emphasizing on the upper anterior region in this presentation will be considered the influence of various dentogingival components, and the height of the alveolar bone for better control aesthetic results, in those cases where the implantology management is decided for prosthetic rehabilitation therapy.
