ABSTRACT
Freiberg’s infraction is an osteochondrosis that most often involves the head of the second metatarsal and affects most commonly young women. Establishing the diagnosis can be difficult in the early course of the disease as a cause of metatarsalgia. We present a revision performed at the ABC Medical Center for a 30 years period and we describe the treatment and its relation to the clinical, radiographic and histopathologic stage. The surgical treatment consisted in metatarsal head resection with a favourable outcome in all patients.
