ABSTRACT

Fat embolism syndrome is a serious complication of long bone fractures. However, limited reports of cases can be found in the literature reporting the association between this syndrome and short bones fracture. This is a case report of fat embolism syndrome associated with short-bone fracture at the level of talus and metacarpals.
