ABSTRACT
Objective: In order to determine which prognostic factors we found in patients with diagnosis of community acquired pneumonia by A H1N1 Influenza.
Design, setting and patients: This study was done to compare outcomes between patients with pneumonia by A H1N1 influenza from February 1, 2009 to January 30, 2010. The study retrospectively compared 69 patients with the inclusion criteria; 36 patients had clinic frame and PCR-RT test for A H1N1 influenza; 19 patients were positive to H1N1 A Influenza; 7 patients were stational A influenza and 10 patients were negative to influenza.
Results: The dysfunction of kidney, hepatic and cardiovascular at the same that the requirement of vasoactive amines were more frequent in non survivers patients (p ‹ 0.05). Non survivors stayed more days in ICU, more APACHE and SOFA points and more organs with disfunction (p ‹ 0.01).
Conclusion: We found less organs with disfunction in survivors patients, the patients without SIRA had a better prognostic and the mortality was the same in patients with and without A H1N1 influenza.
