ABSTRACT
The main reason patients are admitted into the intensive care unit is to receive respiratory support. Revisions of the basic principals for mechanic ventilation have been done internationally as well as in a national level, these including recent updates and advancements. I try to create guides on how a U. C. C. R. should be handle; understanding it as a critical care unit, fundamentally dedicated to the respiratory assistance as the principal axis of its function. Such unit is located in a public hospital and it gives assistants to a population covers by the social security system (C. C. S. S.) in a third world country (C. R.). This documents includes technical and none technical aspects of M. M. A. and intensive care.
