Subcondylar fracture. A case presentation.

ABSTRACT
Facial fractures have been and will be a challenge for buccomaxillofacial surgeons, taking into account that the rehabilitation of these fractures involves the function and aesthetics. Mandibular fractures rank the third in frequency and subcondylar 18% of these. A case of a 39 year old white woman is presented.She came to Maxillofacial consultation by pain and inability to close the mouth due to a fall. Additional tests are performed showing right subcondylar fracture displaced.It decides a conservative treatment with acrylic posterior wedge. The evolution is satisfactory.
