ABSTRACT
A methodological proposal was carried out to stratify the risk of dying from noncommunicable diseases by weighted indicators procedure, these indicators were chosen taking into account the proposed definition of "magnitude of mortality burden”. Indicators measuring this burden are: “proportional mortality ratio", "years of life index potentially lost" and “standardized mortality ratio”; each of them receive a weight according to their relative importance and taking into account each of them, the final weight it´s carried out as follows: areas with scores of 90 to 100 are designated as "high risk of dying", from 80 to 89 points are classified as "medium risk of dying" and 70 to 79 points are strata "low risk of dying".REFERENCES
