ABSTRACT
Parasite diseases are still a challenge and an important healthy problem in Mexico and Latin America, despite continuous advances in the knowledge of their biological cycle, pharmacotherapy and recent progress of imaging. NCC is a Proteus disease, with pleomorphic manifestations not only in the clinical but also radiological practice. Neuroimaging constitute the main diagnostic tool in the studying of this pathology. Magnetic resonance imaging weighted on T1 and T2 is the most useful diagnostic tool, but in certain cases definition by imaging is not definitive. Thus others sequences such as: FLAIR, FIESTA and spectroscopy could help in the diagnosis.
