ABSTRACT
An increase of normal body temperature called fever, is one of the most common signs in pediatric pathology. However even with new molecular laboratory technology, sometimes is difficult to find its origin. Out of one hundred cases 47% have an infection, 16% a neoplasia, 8% connective tissue diseases and up to 14% have not diagnosis. We present some fever characteristic and immunologic abnormalities in rheumatic fever, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, mixed connective tissue disease and juvenile dermatomyoisitis.
