ABSTRACT
The persistent sciatic artery is a congenital malformation that occurs when the femoral system from the external iliac artery is not developed or develops an incomplete causing abnormal flow and irrigation of the affected limb. The etiology is un-known and presents a very low incidence worldwide wich ranges from 0.025 to 0.5% according to reports appearing in the literature. We report a female patient age 42 healthy presents with symptoms of intermittent claudication with angiographic findings of persistent sciatic artery wich embolization was performed the same.
