ABSTRACT

The objective was to analyze tuberculosis detected and diagnosed clinical cases that belong to the EBAISs of Chirripo´s Cabecar Indigenous Territory, between the years 2004 and 2008; and to determine clinical characteristics of the patients, type of patient, percentage of detection by sputum analysis (smear and/or culture), percentage of healing of the patients with a sputum smear positive analysis and other parameters used according to the Manual of Rules of Attention and Surveillance for control of Tuberculosis (Manual de Normas de Atención y Vigilancia para el control de la Tuberculosis).
