ABSTRACT
Penetrating neck trauma and retained foreign body cause severe injuries. To manage these lesions, the priority is to assess the airway, circulation and neurological status; angiography, Doppler ultrasonography and CT should complement these evaluations. We report the first case of removal of foreign body prevertebral space made at the General Hospital Dr. Manuel Gea González through a transoral endoscopic approach, which is valid and less morbid than the external cervical approach.
