Nursing process in young adult with dilated myocardiopathy based on Virginia Henderson model

ABSTRACT
The case of study aimed at providing skilled nursing care cardiovascular, applying the methodology of the nursing process based on the theoretical model of Virginia Henderson to a person with dilated cardiomyopathy, seeking to attain the maximum level of independence in the satisfaction of their needs during their hospital stay. This study was prospective, observational, quasi-experimental, since is realized a pre and post evaluation of nursing interventions. On the basis of the comprehensive assessment conducted at the person with dilated cardiomyopathy showed five real nursing diagnoses and three of risk of NANDA taxonomy 2007-2008 (North American Nursing Diagnosis Association), to which they implement their plan of care. The interventions were implemented based on the NIC which were assessed using Likert scale of measurement, and established in the selected NOC indicator for each plan, achieving the targets set for the attainment of person independence. Focused assessments showed the effectiveness of established interventions in the care plans, and the fulfillment of the target being the person to the resolution of their dependency.REFERENCES
