ABSTRACT
Introduction: A study demonstrated a disparity of 11 % of Radiologists to detect breast cancer as compared with a 40% variability in patients who were submitted to biopsy without breast cancer. The variability in the application of BI-RADS terminology in the medical practice by staff with mastography training and Radiologists without training, has not been studied adequately.Material and methods: Comparative, procedural, sub-experimental, transverse, retrospective, retrolective study with heterodemic group component, non randomized and attributable for convenience.
Results: Predictive positive value found for extra and intrahospitalary groups belonged to 81.2 and 95% respectively. Correlation coefficient (kappa) for both groups belonged to 47.57%.
