ABSTRACT
Objective: To report three cases of multiple suture craneosinostosis of the clover-type skull or Kleeblattschädel, as well as other craneosinostosis and revision of the literature.
Materials and method: A prospective, longitudinal study where three patients were studied with CS of clover-type skull or Kleeblattschädel, as well as other patients with CS. In all them, the craneosinostosis was evaluated through neuroclinic, studies with magnetic resonan ce (MR) and computerized tomography (CT).
Results: Three patients are reported with CS type in clover or Kleebattschädel, two for male patients a one for a female patient. A nine months old patient with scaphocephaly (dolichocephaly, head in canoe form). A patient of five months of age with multiple suture craneosinostosis (probable plagiocephaly variant with oxycephaly). A one year old patient with frontoparietal bilateral craniotomy, due to plagiocephaly with affection of a coronary hemi-suture. One 11 months old patient with turricephaly. A one year old female patient with a craniofacial malformation (with oxycephaly or turricephaly). A one year old male patient with turricephaly and wide unilateral esquizencephaly of lip open (type II) and probable lisencephaly.
Conclusion: the CS prenatal diagnosis and later on to the birth is important, to determine neurological affection type and degree, to act promptly on time in the morphological and functional correction.
