ABSTRACT
Cystic solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas is a rare malignant neoplasia that occurs more frequently in young females. It was described in 1959. I It is also named cystic solid tumor or solid epithelial neoplasm. I It has a low malignant potential, and metastases are rare. Treatment is surgical, w with complete excision of the tumor by partial pancreatectomy. Outcome is favorable. We present a case of a 13 year-old girl w with an abdominal tumor of 6 months of evolution. Fine needle aspiration cytology reported malignant cells, suggesting a pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas. Partial surgical resection of the pancreas and the tumor w were carried out. We reviewed the literature and comment this case.
