ABSTRACT
The Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) are included inside the group of contagious affections that propagate principally for sexual contact, and that at present they have received summit for the ignorance that possesses the adolescence on the same ones and for the early initiation of the sexual relations. This study was realized to verify if there is a mistake in the knowledge exists on the Infections of Sexual Transmission in the population I object so, we estimate in the patients when they were present at consultation a series of beliefs or erroneous ideas they brings over of these diseases. Methods descriptive study of longitudinal cut, the universe was constituted by 100 patients by ages included between the 12 at the age of 66, which they came to the consultation integral doctor of the ambulatory one. Results: On having interrogated the patients on if they knew that they are the infections of sexual transmission there was obtained that 29 patients (29 %) affirmed to know, whereas 71 (71 %) patients denied to know the topic. Conclusions: there is demonstrated that great part (report) of the population does not know the meaning of the infections of sexual transmission, as well as the majority does not know how to be protected and many or none of them they have received some educational session or orientation on the topic.REFERENCES
