ABSTRACT
Several children and teenagers who attend to a doctor’s appointment have leg pain or knee pain. Not only it is often observed that these patients refer this condition to their doctors, but also some doctors conclude with the wrong diagnostic after performing the physical exam. The right diagnostic requires the knowledge of the knee anatomy, the mechanisms of the lesion, the ability to analyze the painful area during the physical exam and the updated knowledge of differential diagnostics. This article describes an index-case-patient related to the Osgood-Schlatter disease. The importance of this article points at this disorder as usually unnoticed. So, most of the time , the symptoms are not related to this disease or they have been confused or forgotten by the doctors. Consequently, this disease is under diagnosed.REFERENCES
