ABSTRACT
The thyroid diseases in elderly patients present atypical symptoms and signs, and they could be confused with other illnesses or with aging changes. The incidence of some diseases, like hypothyroidism multinodular goiter and solitary thyroid nodules, increases with age. For health workers is very important to know about the thyroid aging changes and the clinical manifestations of thyroid diseases, for giving elderly patients more profits in their treatment.
