ABSTRACT
Septic arthritis is more frequent seen in children than adults, its incident in children has been estimated in 5.5 to 12 cases by 100,000.
Candida spp etiological implicated in the arthritis but is infrequent. Election drug for treatment is amphotericin-B, for two or three weeks, followed by fluconazole during six more months in order to eradicate the infection an to preserve the joint function. We report a case of a baby to arthritis by
Candida spp.
