ABSTRACT
Objetive: To determine the clinical correlation of kidney angiotomography and kidney arteriography with surgical findings of the kidney donor patient.Materials and methods: Were include 10 patients made arteriography, 10 patients made arteriotomography in the relate live donor renal transplant program, and were compare to surgical findings nephrectomy.
Results: Arteriotomography reported 2(40%) hiliar arteries of 5 identified on nephrectomy. Arteriography reported 2(66.6%)hiliar arteries of 3 identified on nephrectomy. Arteriotomography reported 10 veins, on nephrectomy one patient had 2 kidney veins.
Conclusions: Arteriography is the gold standard for evaluation the renal vasculature, but is an invasive study, the patient need to stay in the hospital, before and after the study, the cost is highest than arteriotomography. Arteriotomography is an ambulatory study but the disadvantage in our hospital is that request experience for reconstruction and interpretation.
