ABSTRACT
Introduction: The Sticky Plateler Syndrome (SPS), associated with arterial and venous thromboembolic events in young subjects.
Objective: To determine the incidence and promote the analysis of patients with CM ABC of SPS over six years of study.
Material and methods: It is a cross sectional study from 2003 to 2008, which included patients with a history of arterial or venous thrombosis and who are conducting studies to determine hyperaggregability platelet with ADP and epinephrine. We analyzed variables such as gender, age, background heredofamiliar, medical history, diagnosis, treatment and complications. To use the statistical analysis.
Results: Were obtained from 967 patients with a history of thrombosis 525 with arterial thrombosis and 442 with venous thrombosis, of whom 25 had hyperaggregability and were classified according to criteria established by Mammen, Of all the additions, 17 (68%) corresponded to type I, three (12%) type II and five (20%) type III. Fourteen patients are female (56%) and 11 males (44%) in 1.2:1 ratio. The median age was 56 years for both genders with a range of 28 to 78 years. The prevalence of SPS corresponds to 2.58 in six years.
Conclusion: The study is the beginning of a line of research that aims to raise awareness of the importance of the SPS basically related to idiopathic thrombotic events.
