ABSTRACT
We demonstrate our results in 9 patients with congenital lower limb deformities whom underwent limb lengthening as initial treatment before the first year of life. A Chobifix® External Fixator was put in almost every case and a True Lock device in the other ones, achieving 6,8 centimeters on average lengthening. The overall tolerance of the External Fixator device was very well, and complications were minor compared with those described in older patients, we mention there are less problems with joints which are near the external fixator, less stiffness or contractures.
