The 4% of the studied clinical cases had an infantile leptospirosis and 7% had antibodies that which demonstrates that they were exposed to the infectious agent. The highest frequency of sick persons was in the group from 10 to 14 years (61%), followed by 5 to 9 years (29%). The 85% of the cases were male and 15% female, cases were not reported in ages smaller than 1 year. The fresh water and the direct contact with animals were the probable source of infection of most cases.
