ABSTRACT
In the Emergency Room it is common to find patients that have been exposed to agents with toxic potencial either by accident or intentional way. For that reason it is important approach to the patient and make a good diagnosis to increase the success in the processing. The objective of this article is to review the initial assessment and management of a poisoning, besides the recognition and management of some of the most important Toxidromes of the Emergency Medicine Practice.
