ABSTRACT
Introduction: The fistula rectourethral isolation, is classified within the anus rectal malformations as the more rare presentation. It is limited to some reports in the literature of this disease, most commonly found in female patients. The man is commonly seen in general surgery trauma associated urethral or rectal surgery.Case report: We report the case of a newborn six days of life, assessed initially by the presence of liquid stools accompanied by urine, confirming the presence of a fistula rectourethral without the presence of anal rectal anomaly. It performs fistula closure with satisfactory progress of the patient.
Discussion: We believe that this condition can be a transrectal approach with a good chance of success of surgery, however, we do not have enough patients to compare the development with the approach undertaken in this patient.
