Linfoma de Hodgkin que simula una linfadenitis granulomatosa necrosante

ABSTRACT

Epithelioid granulomas have been documented to present in hematolymphoid neoplasms and solid tumours. However, necrotizing granulomas are an infrequent eventuality. We present the case of a 27 year-old man with cervical, supraclavicular and mediastinal lymphadenopathies. The histology of a supraclavicular lymph node showed Hodgkin lymphoma, nodular sclerosis variant associated with numerous necrotizing granulomas simulating tuberculosis or necrotizing lymphadenitis. The injury was so extensive that an initial diagnosis of granulomatous lymphadenitis was done. We consider that this infrequent association, namely Hodgkin’s disease and necrotizing granulomas, must be taken into consideration mainly in young patients with lymph node involvement in the absence of systemic tuberculosis.
