Ribavirin as treatment of varicella: experience in México

ABSTRACT
Varicella is an acute viral disease own of the childhood, but nonexclusive of this one. Highly contagious, that pronounces with slight symptoms associate to a vesicular eruption with final scab formation; but that can get to present different types from complications at different organs and systems from important way causing the death of the patient. The antiviral treatment in the patient by other hand healthy not very often this recommended, despite of this exists some justifications of their use in both healthy as inmunocompromised patients. We reviewed some studies of the experience in Mexico with one of antivirals recommended in the treatment against varicella.
