ABSTRACT
Between most common causal agents of neonatal sepsis actually, in Neonatal Intensive care units (NICUS) the gram positive as
S. aureus, S. coagulase negative and
Enterococcus, are the most frequent agents. The neonatal age group has several risk factors that make them more susceptible for systemic infections where take a particular importance opportunistic microorganisms such as fungus and other Gram positives with a very important change on epidemiology of sepsis in NICUS.
We present the case of a female newborn whose born gate was placed in 27 weeks of pregnancy, also with very low weight at delivery; in whom a episode of necrotizing enterocolitis promote ileal perforation and a picture of mixture sepsis due to
Leuconostoc sp and
Candida parapsilosis documented with urinary culture; having remission of sintomatology once properly therapeutic was initiated.
