ABSTRACT
The circumcaval or retrocaval ureter is a rare anomaly in which the right ureter course posterior to the inferior vena cava which causes variable degrees of obstruction. We present a case of a 34 year old man with the clinical presentation of right ureteral lithiasis (right side pain irradiated to anterior abdominal wall), Although the anomaly was detected with the use of excretory urography, the diagnosis was confirmed with the use of a CT scan (where we can see the ureter posterior to vena cava). We Present the workup on this patient as well as the management.
