ABSTRACT
Introduction: To change a tradition in education is difficult. It is even more difficult if you understand that education is a historically framed social practice. Despite this difficulty, a group of teachers at an educational center introduced some changes in practice. Objective: To evaluate effects of course changes. Material and methods: We used a validated questionnaire to measure what we define as a person’s position on education. Then, we compared a group of teachers who went to the center with other group of teachers who did not. Results: We found that teachers from the first group had a stronger position with respect to education (p ‹ 0.001). Conclusion: The difference observed could be the consequence of the center’s courses. We will continue this evaluation and seek the link between teaching and research.
