ABSTRACT
Introduction: The premature rupture of membranes constitutes a great problem of health in the obstetric patient that bears to severe complications for the mother like for the fetus.
Objective: To determine the association of the high levels of the hormone gonadotropin chorionic fraction b, in vaginal fluids for the diagnosis of premature rupture of membranes.
Material and methods: It is a cohort of prospective, transverse and comparative type. Sixty patients were included distributed in 2 groups, one formed by 30 patients with pregnancy of the third trimester and diagnostic clinical of probable RPM. The group 2 included 30 pregnant without RPM. For the obtaining of the sample a vaginal mirror was placed, you proceeded to irrigate the bottom of later vaginal sack with 5 mL of normal saline and later on the content was aspired with a syringe of 5 mL, you deposits the sample in a tube of stopper rehearsal and it was centrifuged to 3,000 revolutions per minute. To the sobrenadance is determined in quantitative form the hGC-b using the automated system of quimioluminiscence. The results were expressed in mUI/mL. Analysis dares of the exact of Fisher’s to evaluate the association force.
Results: You reports an exact test of Fisher’s with a p ≤ highly significant 0.00001, sensibility of 70%, specificity of 83%, value positive predictive of 80% and value negative predictive of 73%, reason of momios of 11.6 and relative risk of 3.
Conclusions: A fort association exists among the elevation of the levels of the hGC-b in vaginal fluids for the diagnosis of rupture of membranes.
