ABSTRACT
Atopic dermatitis is a disease characterized by chronic recurrent eczematous papulovesicular lesions, severe itching, scratmarks, crusting and lichenification. The diagnosis is based on features suggested by Hanifin and Rajka. Some physiophatogenic aspects are described.
