ABSTRACT
Airway smooth muscle contraction in response to diverse stimuli diminishes patency and this issue becomes clinically important in ailments like asthma. A researchers concern is to explain if the Rho/ROCK signaling pathway might be altered in asthmatic airways. This article reviews some of the scientific literature that points out the therapeutic potential that the inhibition of the Rho/ROCK signaling pathway would have in asthmatics.
