ABSTRACT
Traumatic lesions in temporary dentition are very frequent. It is important that dentist and pediatricians know their treatment, since children going to the dentist’s in emergency situations when urgency is needed may influence the diagnosis in a direct way. This fact leads us perform a literature review in order to establish the proper recommendation for the treatment of traumatic lesions. Therefore, through the proper handling of the patient’s anxiety, an accurate diagnosis, careful hygiene, and a good monitoring, it is possible to save traumatized primary teeth that might be lost if this practice was not taken into account.
