We found 11 esotropia and 4 exotropia, being more affected the left eye (n=10). The prismatic deviation went from 20 to 50D. The average and standard deviation of the change occurred between the initial and postquirurgical measurement was of minus 37.87 ± 10.64 diopters, evaluated with the statistic test of Wilcoxon obtaining a p‹0.001. The patient’s satisfaction was excellent in 93.3%. The average follow up was 6.6 months.
Conclusions: The study probed good results in 93.3% of the cases. We suggest this surgery on different types of monocular strabismus with mild to severe amblyopia, with eso or exotropia no matter the age or gender.
