ABSTRACT
Obesity and overweight predispose people to disease such as diabetes mellitus, heart attacks, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and some varieties of cancer. Although this association is extensively known a great difficulty exists to weight loss. One of the most utilized resources to weight loss are the nonprescription products, their use is questionable because adverse events are associated with these supplements. The majority of these alternatives are harmless, but they are ineffective so that is preferably to outline the importance of physical exercise and low calories diet.
