Patrones de consumo alimentario en mujeres y hombres con sintomatología de trastorno alimentario

ABSTRACT
The intention of the present study was to describe patterns of eating in young women and men with sympthomatology of eating disorder (STCA). 455 young participated (245 women and 210 men), with an age average of 15 years (SD = 3,01); originating of public and private educative institutions of the metropolitan zone Mexico City. Elementary and higth school. All the participants three instruments were applied to them group: two that evaluates symptoms and signs of TCA - Test of Actitudes Alimentarias (EAT-40) and Questionnaire of Bulimia (BULIT) -, and other that evaluates three dimensions of the eating behavior: control, influences emotional and externalidad – Questionnaire of Eating Habits (QEH) -. In agreement with the data is possible to be indicated that significant differences in to eat according to sex the participant. The presence of sympthomatology of eating disorder was greater in the women (6.90%) than the men (3.80%). The women with sympthomatology of eating disorder consume significantly more products light (t = 3,78, p ≤ 0.001), is used to eat in same place (t = 7,72, ≤ 0.001) and most frequently they eat when they see eat to others (t = 2,74, p ≤ 0.001) in comparison with the women control. The men with sympthomatology of eating disorder eat less when they have at the hand a flavorful food (t = 2,465, p≤ 0.01) that its group control. In addition usually they are not finished their food (1,98, p ≤ 0.05), are not to eat of other plates (t = 4,10, p≤≤ 0.001), as if they make controls. When we spoke of sympthomatology of eating disorder our data indicate that in the women there are consider the consumption ligth products and the amount of consumed food, whereas in the men the dietaries restraint are attention points.
