Seric arginase in patients with systemic lupus erithematosus

ABSTRACT

Levels of seric arginase were determined on healthy clinically subjects and patients with systemic lupus erithematosus (SLE). The results obtained were of 5 to 17 U/L in healthy people and 0 to 8 U/L in patients with SLE; 74% of patients with SLE had low values of arginase. With the results obtained we think that determination of seric arginase levels can be support to integral diagnostic of the disease.
