Evaluation of a clinical practice for students of medicine in a blood bank

ABSTRACT
Objective: To validate an instrument that can evaluate the 3rd year students´ opinions of the Facultd de Medicina, UNAM, about the different steps of the Clinical of Epidemiology in Public Health Class III of Blood Bank.
Methodos: We used the Stufflebean´s model evaluation to analyze different times of the practice. The factors were: planning, process and results. The items were worked in standardized scale kind Likert. The construct validity was obtained using the factorial multivariate analysis. This instruments was worked to six groups of students in the Hospital General de México.
Results: The general opinion of the total students (139) was good to respect of the different times of the practice, they said it was a fine educative experience. In relation of the statistcs analysis indicators and its comparison with the value reference, the instrument is valid and trustworthy for evaluation of the students.
Conclutions: In agreement of the results, the practice was an interesting educative experience for the learning of the Clinical Epidemiology.
