ABSTRACT
In spite of enormous advances in the control of infectious diseases in recent years, like vaccines and antibiotics, they still are a great threat for the population worldwide. Some are of recent appearance, another already known by the humanity emerge after a period of inactivity. Several factors cause this situation: molecular and microscopic mutations of the pathogenic agents, others related to environmental modifications that men causes in his economic eagerness. This phenomenon is a global threat for which international health organisms have formed a common front to attack with diverse strategies. It is task of the health personnel to cope with this issue, promoting these initiatives in their community, but mainly observing ethical conducts and being responsible of the environment in their professional and personal life.
