ABSTRACT
Bladder cancer is the second most common cancer of the genitourinary tract. Once established the diagnosisit has to being marked the staging of the illness with the purpose of clarifying the therapeutic modality, prognostic, quality of life and survival. The objective of this work it was to evaluate the results of the total cystectomy in the treatment of the bladder cancer, carrying out a descriptive study that included 94 patients with bladder cancer, invasive in 76 of them and in its majority in a high degree, multiple, recurrent and bigger than 2 cm. We concluded that is an appropriate treatment for the control of the cancer in early stages.
