ABSTRACT
Secretory carcinoma is a rare variant of ductal carcinoma of the breast which has special histopathological, immunohistochemic and cytogenetic findings and better prognosis in comparison with common ductal carcinoma, because distant metastases are rare. It can occur at any age and it has the same frequency in women and men, but it is specially common in children and young people. We report the case of a 52-year-old woman with the diagnosis of secretory carcinoma of the breast which had multiple distant metastases at the moment of diagnosis. A description of the histopathological findings and a literature review are reported.
