ABSTRACT
Dental caries is a major public health problem. Early childhood caries (ECC) also known as baby bottle caries or baby bottle tooth decay, is associated with several risk factors; i.e.: physical, biological, environmental and behavioral, poor oral hygiene, inappropriate infant feeding methods. This is a predictable disease, therefore, emphasis should be given on dietary and oral hygiene habits. This article emphasizes the importance of oral health and early childhood caries complications.
