Regulation models on feeding behavior

ABSTRACT
Diverse theoretical models have been proposed to account for feeding regulation. The main theoretical approaches are based on: the glucose level in blood, the lipid reserves in body, or the hormonal levels in blood. Additionally, we described the study of cerebral areas related in eating behavior, Set-point theory and the analysis of the behavioral factors that regulate and control the feeding. We indicated that the majority of models argue that regulation of feeding behavior is controlled by internal elements. We concluded that regulation models must include environmental aspects like stimulus of behavior of the organisms.
