ABSTRACT
Acute renal failure is a common problem in the intensive care unit and it is part of multipleorgan failure. Currently the choice treatment is the continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) which is associated with a better metabolic control. One of the machines used in hemodialysis is the Prism Machine, developed by Hospal in France in order to achieve all kind of continuous renal replacement therapy.
