ABSTRACT
Objective: To determine the factors related to wrong predicts in the perioperatory of the surgery open of abdominal aortic reconstruction in our unit.
Material and methods: Design retrospective, transverse, observational and analytic that include subjected patients to abdominal aortic reconstruction opened up in the period of January of 2000 to December of 2005. The studied variables were: abdominal aortic reconstruction, age, ischemic cardiopathy, chronic nephropaty and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Applies for the statistical analysis the analysis univariated, bivariated and multivariated.
Results: 96 patients were included during the period of study, being a mortality perioperatory in six cases (6.25%) that take as a wrong predict. By means of the analysis multivariate the factors statistically related to wrong predict were age older than 65 years and the presence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, while the ischemic cardiopathy and the alone chronic nephropaty were only associated factors.
Conclusion: The factors of wrong predict in surgery of abdominal aortic reconstruction in the service of Angiology and Vascular Surgery of C.M.N La Raza are age older than 65 years and the presence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
